Bury Rangers U11 Girls vs Bishop Stortford, County Cup, 3rdDec 2011

Bury Rangers U11 girls travelled to Much Hadham to face Bishop Stortford in the Herts U11 Girls 7v7 County Cup on Saturday.

The absence of regular match reporter at the game means this report relies on the summary of a daughter who, in preparation for the parent-child brevity of communication during teenage years, has summed it up as ‘it was OK’.  However, extraordinary rendition to the kitchen table elicited further intelligence:  Bishop Stortford were speedy and combative; the pitch was quite large; Zoe Martin filled her boots with 4 well taken first half strikes rendering the result beyond doubt by the interval; Pia Eversley was girl-of-the-game, which is always a possibility, but must point to a remarkable performance when considering a team mate scored four goals; Bury won 4:0; everyone had good games; coach Holly was pleased with the performance in a good weekend made all the more satisfactory by a handsome 3:1 away win for her own Watford Ladies side.

A late January semi against Bedwell Rangers who defeated table toppers, Hitchin, awaits.
