Written by Grant Palmer | PDF | Print | E-mail

A GREAT START TO THE FORTHCOMING SEASON BY BURY RANGERS UNDER 13'S REDS!

Last Saturday at the HGFPL Tournament at Welwyn Garden City,  Bury reds got off to a great start to the forthcoming season.  The pre-season tournament saw Bury pitched in the group stage against Panshanger, Barnet Azzuri, Garston Ladies and Stevenage  Borough.

The first match against Garston and Bury started well with good passing and movement.  By the end of the 12 minute match Bury had won 2-0.
The next match was against Barnet and with most of the play, Bury won 3-0.  Next was Panshanger, this Bury also won 3-0.  Momentum was going
well for Bury and the last match in the group was against Stevenage Borough.  This ended 2-0 to Bury.  There was great defending and positive attacking throughout all the group games.

Bury went through to the semi final against Bedwell.  The match started well for Bury and they quickly went 1-0 up.  Bury were still pushing to try for a second but a  quick break from Bedwell saw the game levelled at one a piece.  Bury pushed on trying for the winner and were unlucky on a few occasions, but it wasn't to be for Rangers  and Bedwell broke again and managed to scramble the ball over the line for the winner.

The goal scorers for Bury on the day were Chloe, Christie, Sapphire, Abbey, Jamie Lee and Riley.
