Purpose of job:
- To administer all new registrations, and bring to the executive committee any discrepancy which may arise on transfers, and scorecards as defined within the rules and Constitution of the Governing Body.
- To acknowledge immediate receipt of such correspondence as required, and bring to the attention of the executive committee. To reply to any correspondence as directed by the Chairperson or Vice-Chairperson.
- Attend bimonthly meetings of the league and report to Management Committee, Managers and Coaches key matters that arise form such meetings.
- Circulate any relevant information received from the your Governing Body to The Governing Board where necessary
- Distribute any relevant information to The Governing Board and appropriate people
- If unable to attend any meeting, arrange for correspondence to be sent to the meeting
Main Duties:
- Support and assist all elected officers of the committee
- Enter leagues and tournaments agreed by governing board and invited officers
- Act as club representative to League and governing body
Time Involved:
- Occasional daily involvement
- Attend committee meetings as per club calendar
Skills Required:
- IT literate
- Ability to write reports
- Excellent organisational skills
Experience needed:
- Secretarial skills or background may be an advantage
- Previous experience of minute taking desirable
- The ability to construct agendas
- Effective communication skill-verbal and written
- Access to a PC
- Access to a photocopier would be a distinct advantage, although not essential
