Our Friday Futsal initiative will be available to club U9,U109,U11 & U12 players wishing to develop their technical skills and embrace the fast paced and energetic fane of Futsal.
Futsal is focused on technique, movement, agility and close control skill and our goal is to improve all those qualities in Bury players and provide an opportunity for us to develop Futsal players within our club.
Bury Rangers continue to champion the success of Futsal and encourage club wide participation with an additional offering of Friday sessions.
Friday Futsal will be advance booked at either £4 a session or six session block at £20.
Coaches will be DBS checked and FA Futsal Level One qualified.
Every year the U10 age group is in charge of organising the Bury Club Tour.
This year we had eight teams join the ESF Tour at Butlins Bognor Regis at one of the UK’s largest Football Festivals.
The Bury Rangers travelling party was over 160 club members and family, who all enjoyed three days at Butlins, both on the pitches and on the family themed entertainment complex at Bognor Regis. All teams played in league and knock out competition to a high standard against teams from all four corners of the country. Even at this level, Bury Rangers managed to display both our fair play and football quality with teams surpassing expectation and reaching knock-out stages, with the under U13 girls coming out as winners.
Bury had 2 x U8 teams enjoying their first tour experience, 2 x U10 teams making their mark both on and off the pitch, with everyone from the age group bonding and exploiting every opportunity to have fun. Our U11 team played quality football all weekend with a semi-final defeat the only dent in their weekend. The U12 team exceeded all expectations, particularly on day two winning 4-0 and 5-0 to finish the tournament buzzing.
The Bury Girls once again represented the club to the highest standards within Girls football with the U13 and U14 Girls playing against teams from the football league and even overseas.
The highlight for many outside of the amusement rides, arcades and swimming pools was the presentation event where we all got to meet the classy Robert Pires. We all had a wonderful long weekend where all the boxes were ticked in what we wish to achieve by running a tour, club and team bonding, true sporting endeavour and a whole bag on fun - but the stand out memory will be the tens of Bury Rangers players all charging around Butlins in their bright red club tour hoodies.Read more
U6’s & U7’s MINI FOOTBALL
Bury Rangers will be hosting a FREE drop in football fun session, inviting children in Reception Year to sample what our U6 group will enjoy next season. At the free session there will be fun based football coaching, to embrace children’s enthusiasm for football and develop physical literacy and ball skills. Coaches present will be FA qualified and experienced in the coaching of minis.

Richard Hale 3G Pitch
The 3G all weather pitch at Richard Hale has been completed and is looking amazing. This facility will enable Bury Rangers FC to train here exclusively for 10 years, starting next season, at a significantly reduced cost to repay our investment of £50,000. The 3G pitch will also be available for schools and community use.
An opening ceremony is scheduled for 12th July, 1pm.
Bury Rangers FC has formed the Presdales Community Management Trust (PCMT) to oversee the management, pitch booking, maintenance of the pavilion and pitches at the Presdales site. The trust is a non-profit making organisation and will re-invest any profit back into the site to ensure its ongoing improvement.
As the main users of the pitch it is in our interest to make the pitches the best they can be. There are a number of improvements earmarked to the site already ranging from water bore holes, to rolling and seeding the pitches, to creating a county standard pitch through to the end goal of building a clubhouse at the site, the planning for which has already been approved.
Currently the date earmarked for handover date from East Herts to the PCMT is 1st July 2017 (subject to contract being agreed).

Bury Rangers FC Annual General Meeting
The AGM will be held on 9th July at The Hertford Rugby Club, Highfields, Hoe Lane, Ware, Herts SG12 9NZ starting at 7.30pm. Please can all Age Group Managers attend and it will be great to have as many coaches and parents also attend. This is your opportunity to ask questions to the Committee directly, hear what the Club does for your children, how it supports the local community and for you to help shape the Club for 2017/2018 and beyond.
Charter Standard Renewal
2017-18 will be our 11th season as a Charter Standard (CS) Community Club, following another successful renewal in March. We are the longest established CS club in Hertfordshire and one of the longest established in the UK.
The CS accolade comes from our drive to not just maintain, but to improve standards in the game. All our volunteers who have regular contact comply with the legal requirement to have a Criminal Records Check (DBS). We also aim to have all our coaches with a minimum coaching qualification of FA Level 1, within one year of volunteering. This qualification includes Safeguarding Children and Emergency Aid elements, as well as the obvious focus on coaching children in the game.
Further to this, we aim to have a minimum 60% of these coaches registered to the associated body, the Licenced Coaches Club.
As a reward for maintaining the Chartership, we are given two full sets of kit for children up to U12. This season, we are allocating both sets of kit to our Futsal teams, as they enter a midweek league structure for the first time.
Furthermore, Chartered Standard status allows us to apply for all manner of grants from the FA, the Football Foundation and other funding bodies. Without it, we would not have been eligible to go into the partnership that has resulted in the Richard Hale 3G development.
Plea for Support from Parents
We have approx. 600 children at Bury Rangers FC and it takes a significant amount of effort to keep the Club running. The Club is run entirely by volunteers and we are desperately short of help. We have the following important roles vacant we MUST have filled asap in order to continue functioning as a Club. Responsible for taking minutes at Committee meetings, which are generally every couple of months starting at 7.30pm for 2 hours and also the AGM.
Community Liaison Officer
Responsible for building links between Bury Rangers FC and local schools to bring football to children in the community. Time commitment: approx. 2 hours per week
Chairperson for 2018/19 season
A new Chairperson is required to provide leadership and direction for Bury Rangers FC for the 2018/19 season. Despite a number of attempts to step down, Phil has agreed to stay on just one more season. This was on the proviso that a new chairperson has been agreed for 2018/19 by the AGM on 9th July. This will ensure a similar situation does not re-occur next season and also will enable a smooth handover.
Responsible for maintaining a list of recognised volunteers and establishing a constitution/code of conduct volunteers must follow. Time commitment: approx. 2 hours per week.

Bury Rangers FC’s all-inclusive side wins talkSPORT’s ’Kit for Kids’ competition, in association with Wickes
Bury Rangers FC’s all-inclusive team has won the first ever ‘Kit for Kids' competition, organised between talkSPORT and Wickes - the official partner of the EFL.
The contest saw over 1,500 entries from across the country and over 13,000 visits to the website following the launch of Kit for Kids, a new initiative that offers local communities the chance to win free Mitre team kits, while supporting grass roots football.
The public were asked to vote for the team that they felt deserved to win it the most, with Bury Rangers FC’s all-inclusive side coming out triumphant.
The Bury team was treated to a coach trip and lunch at talkSPORT towers, before a spot of football with renowned talkSPORT host Jim White in goal, who took time out to speak with them all.
The winning team was given 15 outfield strips, including shirts, shorts and socks, two goalkeeper kits, including shirts, shorts, socks and gloves, two Mitre footballs, 15 training bibs, an agility and speed test and a bench jacket.
Coach Keith Miller and Matt Goodchild nominated the team and appeared live on talkSPORT earlier in the year to promote its role within the community.
“Jim gave out all 15 kits and took time out to speak with them all, he’s a genuine true gent,” said Matt. I cannot thank the team at talkSPORT and Wickes enough.”
